SUMMARY:Cutural Ghost Role Whispering
DESCRIPTION: \nMain idea: Cultural ghost whispering is a light hearted way to describe the sophisticated art/science of decoding cultural/social norms that are super smart at stopping us from following our joy path. We can hate them\, fight them\, ignore them\, but their resilience at making us feel bad about ourselves\, get into fights on the inside or outside or clock out\, is second to none. Here we are not so focused on judging this “cultural ghost role” – rather we practice “joining” and open up to its crucial message for crossing into new lived potentials. The term “whispering” is a nod to a timeless open secret: Hating something may be good for some things\, but loving something is a surer way for it to reveal its deeper wisdom and move us into new potentials. If this fascinates you and you are up for a friendly workout in the ghost role gym\, this is for you!\n\nScholarships available for GS Process Work students and some situations.\n \n22 September  – Work and Projects: Vision and strategy stabilisers\n\nRECORDINGS available for all sessions anytime:\nDates: 23 June\, 28 July\, 25 August\, 22 September 2025\nTiming: Mondays 4-6pm Bangkok\, 12-2pm Nairobi\, 11-1pm Berlin: 7-9pm Sydney\nAddress: Zoom link sent after registration & before the class\nFacilitator: Dr. Julia Wolfson  www.turningforward.org \nMember Deep Democracy Alliance\n \nSession Themes\n\n22 September  – Work and Projects: Vision and strategy stabilisers \nRECORDINGS AVAILABLE FOR: \n25 August  – Beliefs: Religion\, no religion\, spirituality\, secularity   \n \n28 July – Resources: Money\, no money and getting/losing money \n23 June – Family +like-family: parents\, caregivers\, kids\, dynamics\, belonging/not/belonging etc\n\nEach session is continuous and also stand alone. Hope to see you there! Wondering if this is right for you? write to Julia at julia@turningforward.org\n\n\n\nFirst a personal message:  \nThis experiential Process Work lab is the result of grappling with horrible critics\, self-psychologising and survival reflexes. This humble fruit is born from the beautiful Process Work/deep democracy life long learning tree where I have gained beyond what I dreamed possible from my DDI studies and teachers. I personally learn best by trying out\, making mistakes and trying again\, and excitedly framing my discoveries for myself. I love to learn by teaching\, and teaching to learn together.\n\n\nThis facilitation lab focuses on a topic I am currently gripped by: cultural ghost roles. These are often so hard to see and catch in the act – especially if like me you were culturally bred on personalisation\, successes and failures. Doing this work alone\, is for me almost impossible. I need this workshop for me\, so I am offering it to others who enjoy co-learning\, grappling and growing in good company! \n\nIn that spirit\, now to the topic of cultural ghost roles: \nBattling against an internalised personal attack can feel like a lost cause in a repetitive cycle of an occasional win and mostly losses. This facilitation lab offers an alternative option\, in making visible the cultural roles that constellate inner critics. Playfully here called cultural Ghost Role Whispering!\n\n Cultural ghost roles are everywhere … timespirits with a life of their own roam around in the air and make you think you are the problem. They masterfully block you from going down deep to find the core of a thing you love or hate within yourself\, beyond right and wrong where true personal power and universal experience rise up.\n\nCultural ghost roles are those time spirits that belong to collectives\, regions and groups with a particular focus – dressed up in personal clothing so you think they are you or someone else. They linger and seep into your psychology and can turn you against yourself. They are everywhere and nowhere. You feel hurt and rejected. You feel blocked from accessing your free spirit and creative potentials for living according to your own manifesto.\n\nCultural ghost roles also have crucial hidden information to stabilise any experience\, negotiation or strategy – be that at home\, work\, relationship\, conflicts\, inner work\, spiritual experiences and world events beyond our control\, and of course projects and organisational visions and strategies. To get to that essence\, is a process of unfolding – ghost role whispering. You can’t unfold a thing you hate; it wont reveal its secrets to you. Take them for granted and push them away …. you can expect them to come back and bite you in the bum.\n\nCultural Ghost whispering has a creative twist. When unfolded\, the role’s disturbing content draws you down deeper into its essence-like roots beneath the cultural pattern to a universal essence  – the source of human experience and spiritual connection. When stripped of its hurtful impact\, such a role may reveal messages that are healing\, liberating and motivating AND are crucial for negotiating and navigating anything you want to do.\n\n\nIn this momentary liminal space\, the line between who is me\, and who is my opponent collapses. Differences become more porous. This space can’t be thought out\, its where a new world moment flashes in unexpectedly\, and brings surprising new insights. Many experience this as a health and happiness booster even during life difficulties and impossible conditions that are not going away.\n\nGhost whispering is an art for loosening stuck moments and getting more feeling for the essence behind your inner/outer opponent’s attack. This can bring more flow\, effectiveness and enjoyment – personally and together in one awareness process.\n\nGroup Process awareness as methodology\nThe energetic field constellates roles\, ghost roles and communication through hotspots\, coolspots and rank dynamics: a group process. \n \nWe will be studying ghost roles through the group process lens. \n\nGroup Process brings out  the stuck-change-flow paradox – where stability and change co-exist in a dynamic interplay. In this facilitation lab we will practice slowing down and using the x (disturbance) of the cultural ghost role as our entry point to the group process for unfolding to the deeper systemic essence that is at the same time personal and universal. Then comes the real test: Do you get something out of it that FEELS right? Do you ENJOY it? Let’s find out!!!\n\nWhy is this not for everyone? Because not everyone is in a spot to enjoy the shamanic practice in connecting with your hate so deeply that you enter a realm where you feel love for what you also hate. My current belief: if you don’t enjoy it\, forget it\, it’s probably not that good for you! 💗🌺 Here\, joy means an unstoppable optimism even in the midst of terrible suffering.\n\nWhat you can expect in the sessions:\nIn this four-part series\, we’ll use Process Work ghost whispering awareness tools to integrate cultural ghost roles in our lives\, and access the joy factor for living and engaging according to one’s deepest nature.\n\nGhost role whispering capabilities are the bread and butter of Deep democracy facilitation: \n👻 catching and tracking ghost roles in the act (or soon after within 24 hours!)\n👻 accessing inner power in a ghost role interaction (or soon after within 24 hours!)\n👻 feel into the aspect of the ghost role that you know from the inside and loosen its hold over you\n👻 using its essence to further your vision and strategy for your joy factor\, your area of growth and impact. Each session includes a short presentation and guided inner work + discussion\, then a facilitated group process to get to know cultural ghost roles in a specific context. \nSession Themes \nThemes may change\, depending on who is present: \n23 June – Family +like-family\, parents\, caregivers\, kids etc \n28 July – Money\, no money and getting/losing money \n25 August  – Religion\, no religion\, spirituality\, secularity \n \n22 September  – Work and Projects: Vision and strategy stabilisers\n\nEach session is continuous and also stand alone. Hope to see you there! SUMMARY:Bare Bones Session 1: Double signals as a path of crumbs to inner power for new directions
DESCRIPTION:16 December – March 2025 ONLINE\ngoing here\, getting to real\, coming alive! \nA Processwork Learning Series \n\nFACILITATOR: Julia Wolfson https://d-d-a.net/@julia\n\n\n\n\nWhere is there? What is real? How do we know we are coming alive? These questions are beyond context – meaning\, they are present in personal life\, relationships\, teams and collectives of all kinds. Bare bones have been used as children’s games and oracles since time immemorial to access the dreaming power surging through the manifest world of experience. In this series\, we will practice Processwork and deep democracy awareness skills to get to the bare bones behind individual\, collective\, structural and systemic currents of information in the moment as one simultaneous ecology. The red thread in this series is a focus on untapped inner powers – innate skills that are readily accessible in anyone\, for navigating the ups and downs of personal life\, in teams and groups\, world events\, leadership and organisational contexts. \nProcesswork is a science\, an art and a practice. Experience is the material under investigation. Deep democracy as a mindset welcomes all levels of experience. A puzzling situation or a beautiful moment can become more luminous. Impossible problems beyond our control can surprise us with moments of reprieve. Conflicts can be more fruitful. Being together or alone get a new lustre and tomorrow’s visions may show up today! \nWhat will happen in the sessions? \nEach session includes a “bare bones” presentation on the topic with Q and A\, an inner work\, discussion and a practice space for unfolding. \n

SUMMARY:Navigating the impossible: Accessing your unique sweet spot for your life\, your team and our world
DESCRIPTION:A Public Deep Democracy Learning Event: \nFacilitator: Julia Wolfson \nIn today’s diversity ecology it is almost impossible to navigate difficulties using one perspective only. Such difficulties are often called “wicked” problems – meaning the systemic-societal-global aspect\, as well as relationship\, group and personal experiences are inseparable. While trying to clean up one thing\, you find yourself unintentionally in the midst of a new mess. Personal health and well-being can suffer\, relationships can suffer and teamwork and collaboration also suffer. \nDeep democracy is a philosophy\, a principle and a practice for welcoming resistance and inertia using your unique personal power that can support you in impossible situations to liberate flow. We are calling this unique energetic power your “sweet spot”. At the heart of deep democracy is the wisdom of nature\, as in C.G Jung’s concept of a journey principle – a regenerative pattern that travels with you through the joys and sorrows of life. Arnold Mindell’s Deep Democracy and Worldwork methodology take this further as a facilitation practice for transformation of individuals\, teams and groups though accessing and using our deepest nature. \nWhatever your sweet spot\, this workshop is an opportunity to access it\, get to know it\, love it and use it as an energetic nectar in your everyday life\, your team and how you show up in the world. We look forward to learning with you! The workshop is in English. \nCost: As this is the first Deep Democracy public event in Norway the workshop is free of charge. We appreciate a contribution to cover venue cost and refreshments. Bring your lunch. \nFacilitator: Dr. Julia Wolfson www.turningforward.org \nJulia is a regular visitor to Norway over 20 years as a facilitator\, trainer and leadership coach within Camphill communities and other socially motivated institutes.

SUMMARY:All of Us in All of This Together: The Voice of Our Youth and The Ears of Our Elders
DESCRIPTION:7 Day Process Work and Worldwork Clinic\nFacilitators: Drs. Ellen and Max Schupbach\, DDI Team and Everyone \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe inner work of the coach and facilitator informs their ability to recognize and work with outer polarizations. In our encounters with other beings\, we often come to crossroads where we see ourselves in relation to the “other”. We experience curiosity\, indifference\, repulsion\, attraction\, judgement\, and other unintended pleasant or not so pleasant reactions.\nRecognizing and unfolding these experiences to discover and unfold their essence and understand their meaning is an alchemical process for both individuals and groups. The learning and growing process is not an isolated journey; we learn from and with one another in diverse environments and grow together in a transformational bath.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHello dear friends and colleagues \nWe are very excited to send you this announcement for our October Intensive Course\, this year in a new format: A Process Work and Worldwork Clinic. \nAll of us in All of this Together \nis taking place in Granada\, Spain and Online Everywhere \nfrom October 7-13\, 2024 \nat the Hotel Abades Nevada Palace \nIn this announcement\, you will find: \n• summary of the course \n• the hosting details\, including conference location for the f2f part\, and information about the online setup and format \n• a fully refundable registration option for the early bird fees online or f-2-f expiring July 24th (fully refundable till Sept 9) \nClick Click HERE to Register! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this year’s clinic\, we will experiment with using Process Work in the flow of life and work with all its possible applications. Personal inner work (also in public during group hotspots)\, relationship work\, body work including movement\, and more – and of course large and small group facilitation as they emerge during the flow of the day\, focusing on unfolding skills and attitudes.\n\nThis is a hybrid event\, with online participants everywhere and in person participants in Granada.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProcess Work\, developed by Arnold Mindell\, is multi-dimensional approach tying together modern physics with current psychology and ancient cosmologies. Worldwork refers to Process Work in large and small group facilitation. It especially addresses systemic marginalization and conflict resolution processes. Deep Democracy is Mindell’s term for the awareness process regarding diversity issues within a person’s inner life\, in the community or organizational lives of groups\, and in the public discourse at large. \nProcess Work is a paradigm on its own that can be applied for differentiating sociological processes affecting groups\, communities and individuals (Roles and Ghostroles) – psychological processes (subjective experiences of energies and Dreaming) and spiritual processes (essences that go beyond polarizations). This approach is used to work with the entire spectrum of human experiences: body symptoms\, relationship processes\, altered states and addictions\, loss and grief\, comatose states\, anxieties\, etc.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClinic is a term for a learning event where you act\, practice and learn at the same time.\nIn our “everyday” lives\, we are everything! We are our own facilitators\, clients\, leaders\, followers\, learners and researchers; in professional private settings\, in our inner lives\, and in our night dreams – with life as our final teacher and patron. \nProcess Work has applications in key areas of our collective and individual lives\, including; Body-experiences\, Relationships\, Innerwork\, Altered and Extreme states\, Conflict Resolution\, and Large + Small Group Work. \nFor facilitators\, coaches\, leaders\, activists and practitioners in many walks of life\, these are relevant intertwining aspects that come into play in a variety of ways. During this clinic\, we will study\, learn and practice the range of these different areas and focus on the significance of this multidimensional knowledge and awareness within the context of your own life. \nWe hope to learn and grow together by researching and practicing:\n\nInner Work in public during conflict – the elixir that brings flow to cycling conflicts\nWorking with intended and unintended escalations by the “other”\, both personal and systemic – the elixir for creating safety and community.\nDifferentiating roles and the individuals (all of us!) who fill them – the elixir to bring systemic change to communities.\nFluidity with recognizing and working with diverse awareness levels\, and deconstructing/unfolding edges. “Edge” is the Process Work term for a collective or personal role that blocks flow.\nMethods and tools for identifying and working with body disturbances\, altered and extreme states\, and relationship tensions.\n\nThese points are our learning focuses – we will practice as they come up\, and also in designated slots of inner work exercises\, large and small group processes\, individual work within fishbowl settings\, and theoretical presentations and discussions. We will apply these modalities according to the flow of the course and our collective learning process. \nThe Clinic is open to everyone – beginners\, seasoned practitioners\, and everyone in between! However\, the learning focus for each will of course be individual and diverse. SUMMARY:Crises\, conflicts\, change and creativity - Deep democracy intensive 2016 - Berlin
DESCRIPTION:PRESENTERS:\nDr. Ruth Weyermann\, Dr. Josef Helbling\, Dr. Max Schupbach\, Dr. Ellen Schupbach \nLeadership and facilitation 10-day intensive\nPublic Fund table\nPublic Open Forum \nDuring this 10 Day Intensive Course with participants from all over the globe\, we will focus on life as an everyday practice from the perspective of deep democracy facilitation. We look forward to study crucial aspects; attitude\, mood\, long term personal goals and long term professional goals\, as well as categories and boundaries between them\, and how over time these apparently separate aspects seem to magically come together in your childhood dream and mythic path. Our theme this year – Crisis\, Conflicts\, Change and Creativity – will address our lives at the personal\, relationship\, community and world levels. We will discover through experiential work and learning how all of these levels are intertwined and inter-connected – within our own individual lives\, and between all of us. We look forward to work individually and together to discover new ways of co-existing\, addressing collective and individual crises with the hope to co-create an inspiring future that includes and celebrates the diversity inside each of us and around all of us. \nThemes: In approaching this topic we look forward to learn\, teach\, study and practice new deep democracy approaches and attitudes to: \nBody Politics – working with our body experiences\, including the concepts of nutrition\, health\, sexuality\, exercise-sports\, age\, culture\, rehabilitation\, illness\, fitness. We also look forward to address some of the “isms” associated with our physical body experiences in relation to the collective. \nRelationship Politics – our inter-relationships with one another in regard to culture\, gender\, personal history – discovering through interaction and inner-work what we have inherited from our surroundings and how we interact and pass on our heritages in relationship\, for better or for worse. Learning how we affect and are affected by one-another\, to hopefully discover new ways together. \nCommunity Politics – the inter-lapping on all levels of our personal selves in collective experiences of teams\, groups\, and organizations – how can we learn and grow together and separately\, relishing the tensions and attractions that we share in our collective lives. How do communities affect each of us in terms of our personal health and relationships\, and how do our relationships with ourselves and one another co-create our communities. \nWorld Politics – The world in all it’s diversity – how can we live and grow together\, with the complexity of our human personalities\, inner and outer relationships\, and finally across nations! \nDaily Themes: Daily themes will be centered on the above topics\, and will be specifically determined by a collaborative process of the group as the days proceed. \nCourse Format: This is a full immersion learning experience including linear\, theoretical learning in mini lecture style\, inner work and personal development in dyads\, and group facilitation practice with other learners. Daily tutorials will be held for individuals that would like further study of the process work paradigm. \nSpecial daily focus will be placed on your own project development and implementation\, and how to apply what you learn to your situation “back home.” This will interweave organically within the format of large and small group processes. \n*** There will be opportunities for individual coaching\, case presentation\, and case studies. \n

SUMMARY:Deep democracy conflict resolution and mediation in action – DDI Nairobi\, Kenya
DESCRIPTION:Presenters: Drs Ellen and Max Schupbach\nConflict Resolution\, Prevention and Management for Individuals\, Teams\, Organizations and the Public Space\nArnold Mindell’s Process work\, also known as the Deep Democracy paradigm\, is to our knowledge the only paradigm that allows the facilitation of conflicts without a prior buy-in from stakeholders. It explains the creation\, flow and resolution of conflict in terms stemming from modern physics\, psychology\, and complex system theory. Its applications range from open forums on public hotspots to vision and strategy development in organizations. A key element of the approach is the focus on inner conflicts which reflect outer tensions\, and vice versa. \nDrawing on the phenomenon of polarization and symmetry named by quantum mechanics and linking it to process oriented theory in terms of identified and non-identified information\,  conflict resolution methods can be used to work with inner conflicts\, mediate legal differences\, coach individuals involved in conflict\,  and process a vast range of group issues – from small team conflicts to national public dilemmas that disturb our nation. \nIn this 3 Day workshop\, we will demonstrate and practice our conflict resolution methods. \nDay 1: Inner Conflicts and Relationships \nDay 2: Conflicts in Teams and Organizations \nDay 3: Conflicts in the Community and the Public Space

SUMMARY:A "Sacred Creative Space" for Conflict and Peace – Mindells in Berlin
DESCRIPTION:At Diversity and Relationship: Focus Empathy Conference\nPresenters: Drs Amy and Arny Mindell\nAround the world\, processwork has helped people with inner work and outer diversity tensions and conflicts. We now realize\, that working with yourself and others requires 1st basic trainings\, cognitive skills\,  and also a 2nd Training — or what we understand is a “SACRED-CREATIVE SPACE”. We will focus on Processwork’s basic 1st and (updated) 2nd advanced Training. This new work brings “sacred creative spaces” and “nonlocality” to the foreground of reality. New understandings of quantum nonlocality and the Taoist\, Lao’s Tse’s not-doing\, will help us “commune with nature” and facilitate inner work\, relationships\, group\, and world tensions. \nIn brief\, Processwork\, Quantum Theory\, and Taoism can give us tools to help create our world’s future. \nFOCUS ON DAY 1: The ELDERS 2nd Training: REAL + SACRED SPACES FOR YOU + OUR RELATIONSHIP \nFOCUS ON DAY 2: NEW REALITIES\, QUANTUM NON-LOCALITY + Lao TSE’S NOT DOING \nto work with small groups and international diversity tensions. On the 2nd day\, we may possibly create special focus on the European Union relationships and the history of facts and ghosts which still strongly effect relationships to power and diversity.
