Join Me: Navigating with people in altered states – in person, Oslo

January 31 - February 1

2-day in person experiential Process Work seminar.

Many educators, social care practitioners and  clinicians struggle to get inside the state of mind and lived experience of a person with intellectual and developmental differences they are trying to help. This person may communicate, move and make sense of the world in non-traditional ways that are like a foreign country to their assistant/helper. Phrases like  “I have compassion fatigue” he is ,defiant “:she’s just plain lazy”, “they are manipulative” “He’s doing it deliberately to upset me” “I cant work with this person any more” are common place and reflect a deeper dilemma that cannot be solved by more pay, more hours, more patience….

Arnold Mindell;s concept of “altered states” provides an alternative underpass to travel WITH the person in the direction you both are trying to go. This reuses at times the willingness to drop content and righteousness nd enter another world where shapeshifting and magical powers grow new capabilities to join, connect and travel through resistance.

This  seminar participants will experience tools and approaches that are as bnfical for the person’s flourishing and their on – when in concert, the shared garden can flourish in new and surprising ways. we will practice various skills you can take away and use immediately:

TRACK feedback signals to de-escalate frustration and misunderstandings

SLOW power unfolding to the core beauty and inner GPS hidden within a difficulty

MATCH energetic tone and movement

AGILE ROLE ROTATION to expand your view of perspectives

BRIDGING personal and collective divides

Who is this geared for?
* Diversity of Process Work experience – newcomers welcome,  qualified Process Workers welcome and everything in between.
* Diversity of practitioners, leaders, learning guides, social workers, clinicians etc working with individuals, teams and systems – and already have a systemic and transpersonal, threefold or shamanic interest/orientation to their work, practice and developmental growth path AND are excited to learn to track the currents in signal based information systems.
May especially be beneficial for teachers, therapists, coaches, support workers, social workers, health care practitioners – their learning guides and leaders – seeking a more wholesome,  human centred approach to challenging situations.
