Read the Room: inside and out! A collegial coaching experiment for not-knowers!

September 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm AEST

For anyone who participated in the Facilitator frontiers series – 2 bonus sessions

21 + 28 September 2026 Two experiential sessions to research what works as collaborative collegial coaches

You are warmly invited to two bonus sessions as a Facilitation Frontier participant and explorer.

In a nutshell?

These sessions are especially suited for any of us who identify with not knowing what to do! I am one who often does not know what to do 🙈🙉🙊😊😂🏖️🐾  Given the mirroring of personal frontiers in the collective field, what if new insights and tips for stuck moments, were already present in the collective? That is the premise behind Read the Room – collegial coaching for not-knowers!

What is it about?

Many times leaders and teams across a spectrum of communities, formal and informal organisations including farms, artist co-ops, clubs, corporations and NGO’s, shops, schools, teaching teams etc, are unhappy and irritated with the performance or behaviour of a colleague.  “It’s the leader’s job to fix it, it’s not my role” is a common refrain. Really? Many of us simply have no pattern to interact directly with colleagues in situations of friction regarding role expectations and behaviours. What if the focus was less on the personal psychology of the one we are irritated with, and rather the collective fertile ground for such behaviours to thrive?  What would it take to expand the cultural capability for peers and colleagues to engage meaningfully in conversations in real time to address frictions as they happen?  What might this collegial coaching capability look like, feel like, be like? Is it possible as a peer or colleague to help facilitate a shift and re-alignment, without wrecking the relationship? Could this capability grow over time, as an indispensable responsibility in any positional role?

Do I have to bring a case?

Not necessarily, although these research sessions depend on some participants being willing to bring a situation they would like help with. Please indicate on the form if you are willing to bring a facilitation situation you are stuck with/would like to discover more about from the “energetic collective field” via peers and colleagues present.

Can I invite a friend/colleague?

If you would like to bring a friend or colleague, great – please ask them to register for at least one of the Facilitation Frontiers sessions in order to get into the zone, and check this is a good fit. If yes,  the next step is to register on this form. Thank you! so much looking forward to researching the conditions and practice of collegial coaching together!

What does it cost?

These bonus sessions are free of charge. The cost is in your time, your not-knowing learning spirit and love of Process-oriented research,  and at least some people willing to bring a case for us to work with.

With excitement for our co-learning!

Julia
